Semarang Night Carnival

Semarang Night Carnival (SNC) is one of the famous carnival event in Semarang. It takes place on street along majorcity building until Simpang Lima field. The event always held once a year in the middle of may. Semarang Night Carnival (SNC) is always held for celebrating the anniversary of Semarang City.

The preparation of this event takes a long time. The official crew have to thinking about some factors that important for the carnival. First, the crew must to decide the theme of carnival. The theme of the carnival usually changes every year, so the audience does not bored with the same theme of the annual carnival. Second, the crew have to classified the participants of the carnival. Third, the crew must give the clear route and cooperating with police department to get a safety event so therewill be no accidents while the carnival happenned. Forth, cooperating with the traffic department to organized the traffic jam because the effect of the carnival. And last, the crew also have to think about the places for the governor and the major city when they are arrived in the finish line.

Semarang Night Carnival is very interesting. The participant is comes from all best school in Semarang, both junior high school and senior high school. Whether state school or private school. Besides best school in Semarang, some instituition also joined as the participants in carnival. They usually use their creativities to makes their coustumes. Much of colorful costumes had showed in carnival and it is more beautiful with the adding of accessories of the partcipants. When they start walking from the start line, they walk and dance at once. Following the music then dance and wallk as same as a models who walked in catwalk. They walk and dance along the street from Gedung Walikota, Pandanaran street, and finally the finished the carnival on Simpang Lima field.

The situation of this event is very enthustiastic and cheerful. So much of family who watch this carnival with their children, the teenager with their friends and all of the poeple are very happy and cheerful when they watch this event. The visitors always raising evevry years. It makes the official getting more enthustiastic to make this event better than the years before.

At night around 8 p.m I felt sad and satisfied. I felt sad because the carnival was over and I must be patient for waiting this event next year. And I felt satisfied because every year the carnival just makes me amazed of what they had been showed. I always thinking how fun if I can be one of the carnival’s participants.
